A police officer has said that the late actress Jiah Khan’s six page letter has not been verified yet and it’s just ‘media speculation’ that says the letter does not match her handwriting.
“There is no new development as such. All these reports in the media which say that the handwriting does not match are media speculation. We have not released any such statement. The letter willnow be sent to forensic experts,” Vishwas Nangre Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (West), said.
Jiah Khan committed suicide on June 3 and her mother had released a six-page suicide note which according to her, is written by Jiah before she took her own life. In the letter she talked about her troublesome relationship with Aditya Pancholi’s son, Suraj Pancholi. It was being speculated that Jiah’s handwriting does not match that of the letter.
Kavita, Jiah’s younger sister, said, “This is all speculation. The letter was written by her only. Why would anyone do this for no reason?”
Suraj Pancholi was arrested on June 10th on charged of abetting to suicide. His bail plea hearing is scheduled on June 21.
